With this itinerary you will enjoy the principal interests of the Cordillera Blanca and climb a moderately difficult summit but an exceptionally beautiful mountain.

Daily program

Day 1: HUARAZ – BASE CAMP (CHOPICALQUI)

In the morning, we take the bus to Quebrada Ancush, the departing point of the trek leading to the base camp.
Night at camp at an elevation of 4 400 meters above sea level.
Note: Each one carry its personal effects.
Hiking time: 1 to 2 hours; Elevation gain: + 300 m

Day 2: BASE CAMP (CHOPICALQUI) - CAMP I

A full day ascent to Camp I.

 Night at camp at an elevation of 5 200 meters above sea level.
Hiking time: 4 to 5 hours; Elevation gain: + 900 m

Day 3: CHOPICALQUI ASCENT (el. 6 354 m.a.s.l.)

At dawn, we stat the ascent to the summit of Chopicalqui, at 6 354 meters above sea level. Exceptional views over the Cordillera.

 Night at camp I.
Hiking time: 10 to 11 hours; Elevation gain/loss: + 1054 m/- 1054 m.

Day 4: CAMP I - CEBOLLAPAMPA – HUARAZ

One day of hiking to return to Cebollapampa.
Transfer to the hotel in Huaraz.
Hiking time: about 4 hours; Elevation loss: - 1200 m.
