HUAYHUASH CORDILLERA
The Huayhuash Cordillera, a well kept secret…
The Huayhuash Cordillera is one of the mountain ranges least known in the world and is nonetheless considered one of the most beautiful ones. It stretches over 20 miles and includes a string of snow capped peaks of great beauty.
Reaching the Giants of the Cordillera has to be deserved but once arrived at the summit of a pass, we find ourselves in front of mystical summits such as: the Mituraju (el; 5750 m.a.s.l.), the Rondoy (el. 5870 m.a.s.l.), the Jirishanca (el. 6094 m.a.s.l.), the Yerupaja (el. 6617 m.a.s.l., considered the most difficult ascent of the region), the Yerupaja Chico (el. 6089 m.a.s.l.), the Yerupaja Sur (el. 6500 m.a.s.l.) and finally the Siula Grande (el. 6344 m.a.s.l.). Surrounded by magnificent snow-capped peak, are tucked spectacular glacial lagunas and stunning glaciers, we discover the best of the Andes.
