Along the way

The Chachani is one of the three volcanoes looking over Arequipa, the economic center of the Southern part of Peru.
Its shape is not as perfect as that of its neighbor, the Misti; it is nonetheless, with its 6057 meters of altitude, an impressive mountain. It is also part of the volcanic belt squirting the Cordillera of the Andes and separating ocean and high plateau.
