Daily program

Day 1: HUARAZ – PISCO BASE CAMP / ASCENT

In the morning, departure by private vehicle for Cebollapampa, departure point of the hike to the base camp. Night at camp at an altitude of 4350 meters a.s.l. (el. 14,271 feet).
Hiking time: 3 to 4 hours; Elevation gain: + 450 m (1,476 feet).

Day 2:BASE CAMP – CAMP MORAINE / ASCENT

Day dedicated to the ascent to Camp Moraine. Night at camp (el. 4950 m.a.s.l. / 16,240 feet).
Hiking time: 3 to 4 hours; Elevation gain: + 600 m (1,968 feet).

Day 3: ASCENT OF PISCO (el. 5752 m.a.s.l. / 18,871 feet) / ASCENT

In the early morning, we start the ascent of Pisco, at an altitude of 5752 m.a.s.l (el. 18,871 feet).
Night at Camp Moraine.
Hiking time: 7 to 8 hours; Elevation gain/loss: + 800 m (2,624 feet)/– 800 m (2,624 feet)

Day 4: DAY OFF IN CASE OF BAD WEITHER THE DAY BEFORE or TO USE IT ON CHOPICALQUI

Day 5: BASE CAMP (PISCO) – BASE CAMP (CHOPICALQUI) / ASCENT

In the morning, we are walking back to Cebollapampa, the departing point of the trek leading to the base camp of Chopicaqui.
Night at camp at an elevation of 4 400 meters above sea level (el. 14,435 feet).
Note: Each one carry its personal effects;
Hiking time: 5 hours; Elevation gain: - 1050 m (3445 feet) + 300 m (984 feet)

Day 6: BASE CAMP (CHOPICALQUI) - CAMP I / ASCENT

A full day ascent to Camp I. Night at camp at an elevation of 5 300 meters above sea level (el. 17,388 feet). Hiking time: 4 to 5 hours; Elevation gain: + 900 m (2,952 feet).

Day 7: CHOPICALQUI ASCENT (el. 6 354 m.a.s.l. / 20,846 feet) / ASCENT

At dawn, we start the ascent to the summit of Chopicalqui, at 6 354 meters above sea level (el. 20,846 feet). Exceptional views over the Cordillera. Night at camp I.
Hiking time: 10 to 11 hours; Elevation gain: + 1054 m (3,458 feet) / - 1054 m (3,458 feet).

Day 8: CAMP I - CEBOLLAPAMPA – HUARAZ / ASCENT

Return to Cebollapampa. Transfer to the hotel in Huaraz.
Hiking time: about 4 hours; Elevation gain: - 1200 m (3,937 feet).
